The proposed 147 MW Ruzizi III is planned as a run-of-river hydropower project and will be located on the River Ruzizi.
Ruzizi III Energy Limited (REL) attended the 4th International Conference and Exhibition on Water Storage and Hydropower Development for Africa held at the Speke Resort Munyonyo Conference Centre, Lake Victoria, Uganda from 10th to 12th July 2023.
The regional conference, co-hosted by Aqua~Media International and ICOLD in collaboration with the Ugandan government, lauded REL for its exemplary efforts in advancing the Ruzizi III Regional Hydroelectric Project (Ruzizi III). Experts from all corners of the world converged at the event, focusing on vital issues about water storage and hydropower development in Africa.
Mrs. Alison Bartle, the Director of Aqua-Media International Ltd, applauded REL for its commendable achievements in advancing the Ruzizi III Project despite facing challenges.
She expressed great anticipation in witnessing the successful completion of the Ruzizi III Project, envisioning its transformative impact on the region and the continent of Africa as a whole.
To acquaint the conference participants with the current progress of the Ruzizi III Project, REL presented a series of papers detailing their experiences during the development of the Ruzizi III Project. Furthermore, REL was also engaged in extensive discussions with attendees at their exhibition stand.
